Help a Lab in Need
Your generous support goes directly to providing care for our rescued Labradors. As adoption fees cover just a fraction of the veterinary costs incurred, it is only with your help that the Rescue can continue its lifesaving work for nearly 1,000 Labs each year.

Donate Monthly
Your monthly support gives us the resources to never have to turn a Lab away that needs our care.

Important Notes:
-
Finding Your Perfect Match: Below are brief descriptions of some of our dogs that are available for adoption. Because the list is constantly changing, we recommend that you apply to adopt as soon as you are ready and work with an Adoption Coordinator, who can provide you with more info about dogs that are a good match for you and your lifestyle.
-
Adopting with Children: The safety of children in an adoptive home is one of our greatest priorities. Learn more about our approach to placing dogs in homes where little ones are present.
-
Adopting as a Townhome or Apartment Resident: As many of our dogs come from rural areas—where they have limited exposure to cars, new people and dogs, unexpected noises, and being leashed—we may limit placements for some dogs to single-family homes. Learn more >
-
Adopting & Fences: We require fences for some of our dogs for a range of reasons. Learn more >
-
Heartworm: About ten percent of our dogs are diagnosed with Heartworm disease during their initial vetting. Heartworm is treatable, and Lab Rescue provides treatment for all infected dogs at no cost to the adopter. Learn more >

Carrie Underwood
Gender:
Female
Age:
4 months
Good with:
Kids 8+, Dogs, Cats
Needs:
A loving forever home with a secure fence and another dog in the home
She wants to be your "All-American Girl!"
Carrie has undergone a transformation since arriving at her foster home and has really come out of her shell over the past 2 weeks. She now climbs into her foster mom's lap to sleep or just get attention. She also really loves to run and does it as fast as she can - doing figure 8s around the resident dogs who don't even try to keep up with her. From her appearance, movements, and speed, we think Carrie is mixed with Border Collie and/or Australian Shepherd. Carrie still has some shy moments, but overall she's more than ready to find her furever family, preferably with another dog that can keep up with her activity levels!

Jordin Sparks
Gender:
Female
Age:
5 months
Good with:
Kids 8+, Dogs, Cats
Needs:
A loving forever home, another dog in the home
"One step at a time" ...to my forever home!
Jordin Sparks is such a sweet cuddle bug. She loves to snuggle in bed and on the couch when Foster Mom is sitting down. She will even crawl up to Foster Mom and lick her face to ask for pets. She has made a huge stride in being outside in the yard with the other dogs without needing to be coerced. What a great milestone for this sweet pea! Jordin loves playing with the resident dogs and receives cues and direction from the resident dogs well. She prefers humans to be down on her level more-so than standing level. What a sweet girl!

Kelsea Ballerini
Gender:
Female
Age:
5 months
Good with:
Kids 8+, Dogs, Cats
Needs:
A loving forever home and another dog in the home
"It's the little things" ... like me!
Kelsea is a petite girl packed with cuteness. She is small but mighty, and can leap onto a bed in a single bound (usually). As she has adjusted to her foster home her adorable personality has been shining through! One morning she came zooming into the living room with her "prize". Turns out she'd pulled foster mom’s PJ top off the bed and was showing off (No PJs were harmed in this story). Kelsea loves being with her foster brothers, but also graciously allows her foster mom to share the couch and bed with her. Slow and steady is the way to this girl's heart - she's a sweetie. Kelsea shows signs of great progress each day and is ready for a home that will give her the love and patience any puppy would need!
