DOGWALK: FUNDRAISER HOW-TO
Thank you so much for your interest in registering for the 2021 DogWalk & FunFest!
There are two ways to fundraise: as an INDIVIDUAL or by joining with other fundraisers to form a TEAM. We welcome both—the only difference is that we offer prizes for both the Highest Fundraiser and the Highest Fundraising team.
To get you started on the right paw, we have provided a brief how-to guide on setting up your online fundraising page. Just choose your fundraiser type to learn more:
If you have questions or issues with your fundraising page, please email email@example.com
Start a Fundraising Team
This option is for those who want to start a team and invite other fundraisers to join them.
Visit the Walk fundraising page (https://giving.lab-rescue.org/walk2020) and click the button: "Help Us Fundraise"
NOTE: The fundraising website is mobile-optimized, but it is much easier to create your page on a computer!
Three options will appear—choose "Create a team."
You will be asked if you would prefer to log-in to your account or create one.
Note that you may already have an account if:
You’ve donated online to Lab Rescue since November 1, 2018
You have registered to attend our 2018 or 2019 Holiday Party
If this is the case, the platform will notify you after you try to sign-up with your email address.
If you do have an account and you cannot recall your password, then please use the Forgot Password option within the platform.
Customize your team's fundraising goal, create a headline to greet your page visitors, and set up a short URL to make it easy for you to send your page to prospective team members and donors.
For the short URL, we recommend using your team's name.
You will be offered the chance to customize your profile photo, and asked to provide a few more pieces of information for our records.
Your team page is now complete and you are the Team Captain!
But, in order to fundraise on behalf of your team and receive the fundraising incentives, you also need to create an individual fundraising page and use it to join your team.
To do this, click the Join Team button on your team's page and create an Individual Page. For more info on how to this, check out the how-to guide >
In the Dashboard, you can:
Review an overview of your team's fundraising progress
Customize the story on your fundraising page to share what Lab Rescue means to your team
Review your team'ms donations
Make use of provided email messages to recruit team members and request support from your donors
Edit your fundraising page details
Start recruiting team members and fundraising!
The Labs are counting on us to reach our $150,000 goal!
